Hey guys =)
So, as you may have guessed from the title, I bring to you a post about the London Literature Festival, which takes place from the 30th September until the 13th October at the Southbank Centre. Over the course of the festival, some of the finest writers and performers (which I haven't heard of, but I'm sure will be great) will be visiting and they are: Hilary Mantel, Stephen Fry (ooh, I've heard of him), Alice Oswald, Kate Tempest, John Cooper Clarke, Colm Toibin and Elif Shafak. But what really interests me is that on the 4th and 5th of October is the Young Adult Literature Weekender. (Quoted from the booklet:) "London Literature Festival presents its first ever young adult fiction mini-fest. Fizzing with literary market stalls, mini-talks, workshops, performances and The Dystopian Book Club (?), it features only the finest writers, poets and spoken-word artists. This mini-fest is curated by young people living, reading and writing in London and is recommended for ages 13-19" So yeah this sounds awesome, and anyone who's in the area (and the age category) check it out! It's 1pm-5pm in the Festival Village under the Queen Elizabeth Hall and it's £8 for a day pass. Bye!
