1. My Violin: This time last year I was thinking about quitting. My teacher wasn't inspiring me, and I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. THANK GOD I DIDN'T. A few weeks ago I played in this incredible concert with incredible people and now I have a different teacher who is SO INSPIRING (couldn't have asked for anyone better, really). I'm actually beginning to get to the places I wanna go to. This brings me to my next point:
2. The Bruch Violin Concerto: I've recently just listening to it, after knowing about for ages. IT'S AN EFFING BEAUTIFUL PEICE OF MUSIC (go listen, fellow bloggers!) A lot of it's pretty beyond me now, but I printed the sheet music off the internet and I can play a bit. It's now my goal to be able to play it (I've just got to learn to truly access the emotional part of it...)
3. The Wolf by Mumford and Sons: Amazing song. In love. Enough said.
4. I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson: Possibly one of the best books I've ever read. Better than the Fault in Our Stars. Same level as We Were Liars (some of you will know how obsessed I am with WWL). I'm completely in awe of Nelson's writing, I'm jealous! I fell in love with the characters and the whole plot and JUST GO READ OKAY?
5. SKINS: Shout out to Holly/Derek to introducing me to this one. Amazing TV series on Netflix about teenagers struggling through life. Sounds dull, utterly amazing. And hilarious. And heartbreaking.
6. The Word Hyperbole: Pronounced hy-perb-o-lee. Isn't it fabulous? Say it out loud, wherever you are. Go one, dare you.
