A tiny thing I didn't like; in the book, after the car crash, there was silence as the family lay lifeless in the snow apart from a Mozart piece which miraculously was still playing on the radio. For me, this was a beautiful and powerful image, and I looked forward to seeing how they would do it in the movie. Unfortunately this never happened, which I was slightly dissapointed about. The name of Adam's band changed as well, but I was kinda glad about this because really. The Rising Stars? Can we not do any better than the Rising Stars?
To sum up, this book to movie adaptation was brilliantly done in my eyes and a great film to watch having read the book or not. (Although, read the book before you read the film. Always.)
